9.10.2015The amount of SD alcohol in this toner is a serious cause for concern. Despite the immediate degreasing effect, SD Alcohol or Alcohol Denatured (abbreviated Alcohol Denat.) dries out skin, and therefore makes the skin more prone to irritation and outbreaks. In addition, the purported magic ingredient "DMAE" included in many of Perricone MD's formulation is not backed by rigorous science. A PubMed search shows only one small study that showed a modest effect of topical DMAE on skin.
