17.06.2016Picture strolling past rollercoasters, hokey try-your-luck rigged sideshow games run by shifty looking characters, children running about underfoot with bouquets of pink cotton candy in hand and on face, stalls selling honey glazed peanuts, caramel popcorn and corn dogs. Now picture how that smells. Imagine if you could capture that smell, distill it and bottle it. This is EXACTLY how Coney Island smells. I've put my nose to some gourmands in my time and this is probably the sweetest of the bunch. Not really my thing unfortunately, even at the height of my gourmand phase. 1 star because I just don't find it wearable, +2 stars for being such an accurate facsimile of the smell of a carnival. It will either leave you screaming and running like you're in a haunted house, or maybe you'll find it endearing as it reminds you of childhood adventures and overpriced amusements.
